Buttermere Camino 2024

Join us for this year’s Grasmoor Mission Community Buttermere Camino, on Saturday 27th July!

We are holding a mini camino (pilgrimage) from St Cuthbert Lorton, to St James, Buttermere, via St Bartholomew in Loweswater, leaving Lorton church at 10am. There will be times for prayer and reflection as well as conversation whilst we walk, finishing our time together with a reflection at St James’ church.

The walk is about 10 1/2 miles and we hope to arrive in Buttermere at around 4pm.

There will be opportunities to join or leave the walk at Loweswater at around 1pm, where we will be eating our packed lunches; please bring one with you! We recommend sharing lifts, arranging pickups from Buttermere or leaving cars there, as the buses finish in the early evening and are likely to be busy.
