Poiema is located at The Vicarage, Loweswater, CA13 0RU

From Cockermouth / Keswick direction:
Follow the B2589 for Loweswater (don’t take the road to Buttermere). After Scale Hill accommodation on the right, continue for about half a mile. When you see a red phone box / defibrillator at a turning for the Kirkstile Inn on the left, continue on the main road up a hill, and past Rose Cottage on your right. Poiema (The Vicarage) is the next house on the right. We suggest coming in through the second white gated entrance. Parking is available at the bottom of the drive.

From the west (via Mockerkin):
Follow signs for Loweswater, taking Regional route 71 (on Google Maps). On reaching the lake on your right, continue for a further 2 miles. After Loweswater Village Hall and signs for the Kirkstile Inn on your right, proceed a short distance down the hill and Poiema (The Vicarage) is the first house on the left. We suggest coming in through the first white gated entrance. Parking is available at the bottom of the drive.

Note: If coming via the Whinlatter Pass, when you are approaching Lorton, your satnav may tell you to take the road signposted “Hopebeck Narrow gated road”.  Please don’t take this road, but stay on the B5292 and take the left turn further on into and through Lorton.
